My name is Ian Swanson and I’m an art director, designer, and photographer from San Juan Capistrano, CA. I enjoy all things creative while having a strong passion for design, photography, painting, and specifically the relationship between design and marketing. My focus is to heighten the visual experience associated with brands and use that influence as a way into the mind of the consumer. Skout's Honor2019 – Present
Responsible for all creative aspects of the Skout's Honor brand. Lead, develop, execute and manage the creative process for marketing campaigns, content creation, creative assets and visual product design. This includes management of staff designers, staff photographer and third party agencies.
Creative Manager
Absolute Board Co.2018 – 2019
Responsible for all creative aspects of the ABC brands. Primarily Penny & Z-Flex skateboards. Led, developed, executed and managed the creative process for marketing campaigns, content creation, creative assets and visual product design. Successfully managed multiple artist collaborations and brand licensing project with Lucas Films (Disney). Launched category extension for Penny Surf.
