In My Own Words
Motivated and self-driven student with a passion for learning what makes a successful business tick. My experience in motocross and surfing has engrained in me a love for the outdoor lifestyle while also developing a working knowledge of the action sports and moto industry. I want to propel my passion and experience into my career while providing a clear return on investment for my employer.
I am a senior at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW), where I am pursuing a major in Entrepreneurship and Business Development. My previous work experience in the customer service industry has taught me to handle multiple projects in an autonomous environment with little direction and supervision. Working in a high-end restaurant allowed me to develop exceptional communication skills through constant interaction with guests while also showing me the importance of learning every detail about the product I am selling. My experience as a shift manager educated me on the importance of prioritizing daily tasks, while entrusting employees the autonomy to complete their tasks in an effective manner.
During my time at UNCW, the Entrepreneurship and Business Development program has given me a well-rounded course load with emphasis on marketing, selling, and innovation. As a member of the UNCW Surf Club, I have had many opportunities to make a positive impact on the local surf community while also working to help keep our ocean and beaches clean.
