• Work with Chinese textile mills to develop and produce the right product mix for the US upholstery market • Act as the liaison between our US team and the Design/Development teams in China to make sure they understand where we need to be in terms of price, quality, testing, and delivery • Work side by side and communicate regularly with the mill (owner, mid-level managers, and production people) to ensure clear communication is taking place between all parties involved • Helped to expand our product line by taking top selling items in the marketplace and finding other suppliers in China that could help us develop them (knits, prints, PU fabrics); merchandise these items together with our in-house wovens line • Communicate customer requests such as quality issues, testing requirements, pricing, lead time, and design changes to the mill in a way that is clear for them to understand (speaking Chinese helps with this) • Make sure we are incorporating attributes of top selling SKU's such as price point, design, color, and fabric construction into future development • Grew annual revenue by over 35% vs. PY (from 12 MILL to over 16 MILL) during my first year, and another 30% in my second year with the company • Manage customer relationships and work with ownership and US Sales Reps to grow business with furniture manufacturers, furniture retailers, and fabric retailers and distributors
