Eva Mossberg (she/her/hers) is a leader, innovator and adventuresome expert in the field of sustainable tourism. Her experience and broad range of skills span across 20+ years and include both undergraduate and graduate degrees in hospitality, tourism and travel; all facets of domestic and international operations and logistics for various global educational tours and programs, from program development and risk management protocols to sourcing new destinations and strategic partnerships across Europe. 

Having grown up in Stockholm, Sweden, Eva’s international explorations began early on: At nineteen years of age, on a quest for adventurous experiences, she waved her native Sweden goodbye from the deck of a 44’ sailboat, and never looked back. What ensued was, and continues to be, a life full of rich learning experiences that have included sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, volunteering at the first ever conference on ecotourism, crossing the Andes on horseback and living in the West Indies, Portugal and, since 1994, the U.S.A. Eva is based north of Boston, MA and loves anything and everything outdoors.

Freelance Consultant and Onsite Logistics Expert in Sustainable Tourism and International Education

Creation, development, and management of all facets of a small boutique tour company built on the pillars of
sustainable tourism. 

The Partner manager serves as the account and project manager for ATTA partner accounts. Accounts generally include destinations/tourism boards, industry partners, and other brands. Partnership products may include but are not limited to event sponsorships (for ATTA events), advertising packages, research projects, destination FAM trips, or multi-year contracts covering a variety of products. 

The Partner Manager supports Regional/Executive Directors with proposal design and the contracting process for securing partnerships, and maintains the day-to-day and annual management of secured partnerships, including coordinating tasks related to the partnership, as well as delegating tasks to other team members such as the marketing team, administration team, registration teams, research teams, and others. The Partner Manager is also responsible for tracking all deliverables related to the partnership, and creating final reports.

With the support and direction from the Head of Program, the Regional Product Manager is responsible for the creation and delivery of appropriate, commercially focused product within the specific geographical area, ensuring that knowledge of this product is shared by all relevant Country Sales Specialists. 

Regional Product Manager, Europe 

In this role I held primary and secondary responsibilities in the areas of program quality, risk management, site director operations, contractual management with onsite providers, and new program development. I lead a team of remote Site Directors in 26 locations around the world to the execution of successful programs; liaised and facilitated collaboration between various departments within the company; and managed and addressed risk mitigation as a member of the Risk Management Team, and the Emergency Response Team. As a member of the Leadership Team (appointed position for two years), I helped guide the Executive Board by sharing valuable perspective and leadership to further improve the corporate health, programming quality, and profitability of the company. 

Assistant Director of International Operations

Conduct in-the-field outdoor education programs for REI customers to include delivery of class content, customer service during the outing, and the safety of all the participants. Maintain equipment and coordinate outing logistics prior to field day. Coach large groups of people and lead instructional events, demonstrating the designated activity or sport with safety and skill. Teach classes in cross-country skiing, cycling, sea kayaking and Stand-Up-Paddling (SUP).

Provide office support and logistics planning including packing, caring for equipment, communicating with participants via email and phone. Drive van and trailer regularly.

Outdoor School Instructor and Administrative Logistics Support 

Provide paddling instruction and lead safe tours for kayakers of all ages and levels of expertise according company guidelines and provide an interesting and informative narrative. 

Manage group dynamics to ensure a positive and safe experience for all.

Ocean Kayak Guide 

Overall logistics and operations’ planning and management of international Summer Program for international teenage students. 
* Set-up and branding of the seasonal EF Center prior to student and staff arrivals; managing stock and equipment for the duration of the program.
* Management of eighteen staff members, including motivation, disciplinary action, staff meetings and briefings.
* Confirmation all transport arrangements including planning and coordinating international arrivals and departures.
* Student welfare and discipline, ensuring customer service goes above and beyond student expectations.
* Liaising with suppliers on service contracts, procurement and other agreements.
* Resolving problems and emergency situations should they arise. 
* Fiscally responsible for budget, petty cash and credit card use. 
* Serve as academic manager, ensuring curricula is followed, teacher support including observations, feedback and development, and manage academic stock including books, exam papers, certificates and equipment in accordance with company policy and international accreditation standards. 

Centre Manager (Seasonal)

November 2012 - April 2013:  Interim Operations Manager and Junior Program Coordinator
October - April: Update, implement and manage crisis response procedures including risk assessment, fire safety, staff and student safety and well-being. Serve as the Health & Safety Officer. Liaise for information - and other technology maintenance and support and manage technology installation projects. Building Management, including contract negotiations, repairs and renovations. Acting Corporate Social Responsibility Champion, coordinating all CSR initiatives both in the community and in the school.

Jan 2012 – Nov 2012: Junior Program and Academic Coordinator
May - Aug: Overall logistics and operations’ planning and management of international Summer Program for students 12-17 years old. Fiscally responsible for budget, petty cash and credit card use. Coordination of students’ meals, housing and travel arrangements. Planning and organization of all junior program activities. 
Sept - Apr: Student advising, intake, progress monitoring and documentation, handling student inquiries, administering and grading tests, program forecasting, and substitute teaching ESL classes as needed. 

Apr 2011 – Jan 2012: ESL Teacher and Academic Office Support Staff
Teaching ESL to our large body of international students including lesson planning, evaluations, and aiding students to reach their goals as language learners.

Assisting the academic staff with student intake, progress monitoring and documentation, handling student inquiries, administering tests, leading group activities and more. Program coordinator for EC Boston Kids' Camp 2011. Basic working knowledge of ELVIS Academic software module. 

Interim Operations Manager and Junior Program Coordinator

* Responsible for all daily operations including budgeting, human resources, bookkeeping, and capital projects. 
* Fiscal responsibility for stable department, including physical plant and the care and well-being of all boarded horses. 
* Advise and guide volunteer committees on special programs (lecture series, camps, clinics, etc.) and long-term planning.

Manager of Myopia Hunt Club Stables 

* Comprehensive business office administration including budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll, A/R, A/P, tax reporting, customer relations, human resources, and long-term planning; sales and marketing. 
* Oversight of all dog day care services including scheduling, transportation and healthcare.

Co-owner and Managing Partner 

Managed all aspects of club including daily operations, legal responsibilities, public relations, human resources, capital projects, security, and safety.
* Increased net income by 780% the first year by hiring a professional chef, thus greatly increasing catering revenues without infringing on member services, and enrolling the club in an energy-saving program. 
* Created and implemented annual operating budgets, which were met or exceeded, ensuring a fiscally sound operation. 
* Developed operating policies and procedures directing work of four department managers. 
* Monitored quality of club’s products and services and established and maintained a high level of overall member satisfaction contributing to healthy membership growth. 

General Manager

* Accountable for licensing and pricing for all food and beverage outlets, budgeting, front of the house operations, overnight accommodations, retail store, housekeeping, and daily operations as the chief employee of the clubhouse. 
* Responsible for the selection, implementation and training for the club's first POS system.
* Responsible for ongoing hiring, training, and management of thirty employees.

Assistant General Manager	
* Planned, coordinated and executed more than one hundred events for up to six hundred guests including wedding receptions, regattas, fundraisers, and themed dinners. 
* Responsible for creating and meeting or exceeding the annual catering operating budget.
* Assisted in hiring and training fifteen servers.
