Sport Impact Research

2012 – 2014

Partnered in a start-up bicycle helmet company focused on the European cycling market to successfully bring a 5 model line to market under accelerated timelines. • Led design and development teams; focused on interfacing design, and engineering efforts while overseeing scheduling and costing. • Directed domestic and international vendors with frequent Asian travel to factories for manufacturing, graphics, and packaging aspects. • Worked with sales to develop new client leads.

Senior Industrial Designer Contract

Giro Sport Design Eyewear

2005 – 2006

• Brought in to help launch Giro into the sport eyewear market. • Utilized my expertise to assist in-house teams establish an understanding of the goggle and eye glass market from design and development to manufacturing essentials. • Successfully outlined the thought process, ergonomics, and manufacturing necessities involved with eyewear development.

Smith Sport Optics

2002 – 2005

• Lead designer in charge of Smith's line of goggles, sport and fashion glasses. • Designed for high volume quarterly model releases. • Interfaced with Sales and Marketing teams to focus on target goals. • Frequent travel to trade shows to perform competitive marketplace analysis.

Senior Industrial Designer Helmets

BELL Sports

1997 – 2002

Primary designer tasked with the re-imaging effort for adult and children's helmet lines. • Worked with testing and engineering teams to develop new technology and assure safety certifications. • Accessory designer for BELL, Barbie, Fisher-Price, Wal-Mart and Target accounts. • Designed applied graphics and packaging for BELL helmets and accessories.
