I was a student-athlete at Portland State University where I studied Psychology and Sociology. After college, I was given the opportunity to continue playing professional football for 7 years. Looking back on my sports career, it was achieving something as a team that I'll value the most. Director, National Brand Marketing BCBU

During the CBA-ABi merger, I was chosen for this role by the CMO. Tasked with braiding consumer listening strategies into the traditional strands of Brand Marketing. Armed with a fresh perspective and innate ability to connect with partners; I inspired internal and external teammates to think consumer-first. 

The Brewers Collective Business Unit (BCBU) is Anheuser-Busch’s High End Craft Division that consists of 21 Breweries across the Nation. As the Regional Brand Director, I was charged with recognizing and elevating the marketing acumen of those 14 breweries and identifying opportunities to maximize strategic efforts. 

- Developed a Brand-Listening Program & Playbook; educated brands on how best to capture the voice of their consumer & consumers ecosystem; informed and inspired business decisions in the absence of agency support. 

- Created ‘Peer2Peer’ shared learning program; identified high-performing brands and individuals across 60 sales and marketing functions at 21 breweries; leveraged various tools for best practice sharing across key Marketing and Sales strategies. 

- Led 9 Custom Research Studies spanning Consumer, Retailer, and Wholesaler communities for Brand Positioning, VBI, Core Creative Idea, Consumer Persona & Rebranding 

- Conducted industry-based research, including National Brand Audit project spanning 92 Wholesale partners, identifying impact and opportunities for current portfolios for 8 identified business units.

- Created Development Curriculum for Marketing 1YP preparation; provided targeted learning opportunities across multiple BU's preparing for annual Executive presentations.

- Lead bi-weekly, 60+ participant, Marketing call; orchestrated thought-provoking exercises for 21 brewery marketing teams, worked cross-functionally internally to organize and cascade critical updates and education.

Director, Regional Band Marketing BCBU

The pH Experiment was an innovation incubator for Craft Brew Alliance focused on consumer-driven products, experiences, and solutions. Operating like a startup, a team of 5 individuals re-inventing how the beverage industry brings products to life. I provided experience in consumer insights research through qualitative and quantitative methodologies to drive unbiased direction. Success was achieved by allowing groups of targeted consumers to guide various elements of the innovation process; experience, product ideas, and branding. Tactics were executed in a pre-COVID environment and creatively modified to continue progress during times of COVID restrictions. 

*CBA and the pH Experiment were acquired by Anheuser-Busch in November of 2020.

Global Director, Nike Basketball - Footwear Product Testing & Consumer Insights

The Senior Analyst role is a hands-on leadership role. I led the strategy with a strong emphasis on overall team dynamics. This role manages the most technical product innovations. As a player-coach, I was able to inspire and lead the team in new directions, focused on international growth and US program evolution. 

- Within the first year, decreased program costs by 38% while increasing overall consumer engagement/participation through a revamped incentive program. 

- Expanded Insights Program into Western Europe (EHQ) as part of our Global Growth Strategy, resulting in key market testing and insights to influence design thinking, development, engineering and marketing teams on current and future innovations. 

- Cultivated key market growth, Los Angeles "Hub" for Elite level access to PRO, NCAA, and Drew League athletes, managed connections with key retailers, consumers, and product influencers to connect with relevant consumer trends.

- International collaboration building the European Summer League (Testing and Insights Camp). Category investment of 5x in year 2 to include design, marketing, and engineering teammate participation.

- In 6 months, Expanded over 12 new NCAA Partnerships in alliance with Collegiate Sports Marketing to increase the depth of partnerships and align a more regional strategy

Retail is where I learned the importance of customer service and its contribution to the consumer's experience with a brand. 

I worked at the NIKE Flagship Store where I represented the brand to thousands of international travelers a year. I also worked at the Employee Store during the off seasons of my football career. This provided exposure to the culture, developed confident consumer interaction skills, and build my foundation of product knowledge.
