Responsible for the electromechanical design and sustaining of aircraft inflight entertainment systems and communication products from the standpoints of thermal, structural rigidity, acoustics, DFM, EMI,
ESD, and cost to meet industry standards and airline customer requirements. Perform mechanical
layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build, testing, and documentation of Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)
components & systems. Apply standard mathematical and hands-on techniques, procedures and criteria to engineering assignments.

•   Operate 3D CAD Creo - ProE and Windchill systems and analytical software to perform design
and redesign.
•   Select hardware, materials, finish and OEM components based on mechanical design.
•   Ensure compliance with specifications and product requirements in a highly regulated industry,
including: FAA, RTCA, RoHS, Boeing, Airbus.
•   Interface directly with R&D, Manufacturing and external vendors to resolve design and fabrication issues.
•   Perform complex interference fit checks, motion simulation, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
•   Support product development activities such as rapid prototyping, testing, pilot builds,
verification & validation testing and risk assessment.

MTS III, Mechanical Engineer

Responsible for developing and maintaining product interfaces and product management strategies for
external computer data storage. Working with original design manufacturers, suppliers, and partners
for manufacturing, development, and sustaining activities. Develop test plans and conduct reviews with
the Product Development team. Provide written progress on testing, major issues, and adherence to program schedules.

•   Identify thermal, weight, and EMI problems, and generate alternatives and recommend
solutions.
•   Select hardware, materials, finish and selection of OEM components based on mechanical
design for high volume manufacturing assuring compliance with specifications and product
requirements in a highly regulated industry, including: FCC, USB, USB-IF.
•   Operate 3D CAD SolidWorks system and analytical software to perform design and drafting.
•   Design and execute testing experiments and analyze/interpret results.
•   Key member in cross-functional meetings with Materials, Engineers, and Marketing regarding
schedules, testing progress and major issues.

Senior Principal Engineer, Mechanical Design

Developed new hardware and plumbing fixture concepts, designed new components and sub-
assemblies, and improved current home improvement production products effectively using Pro-
Engineer. Analyzed new product designs and current production products for code compliance and regulations. Writing test procedures, test plans, and working with lab technicians to develop testing
fixtures. Created and tested working prototypes and samples of new product concepts to demonstrate
feasibility utilizing a model shop and test lab. Build cross-functional relationships with suppliers and clients. Worked with current suppliers in developing new components and assemblies.

manual creation of initial prototypes; communication with manufacturers regarding processes,
assembly, materials, and parts; and receive and approve manufactured prototypes for production.

•   Selection, pilot test, and approval of new tools/machinery for production.

Design Engineer

Responsible for improving designs for profitability, performance, quality, and customer requirements on
new and existing pneumatic products and components. Responsible for using good engineering
practices and standards to design new and redesign existing products for manufacturability and ease of
