Clarissa is a visual designer in the North County San Diego Area. Clarissa officially began her design career in 2006 after graduating from Pima Community College with a Associate of Arts degree in Digital Arts. Clarissa worked as a graphic designer for small businesses and non profits in her hometown of Tucson, AZ. Clarissa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona’s College of Science in 2012.  Clarissa’s understanding of human behavior and experience in design make a unique combination of skills for today’s UI/UX driven marketing landscape. 

Clarissa has expert skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, is highly proficient in InDesign, Lightroom and Dreamweaver, and has experience working with Adobe Premiere and Animate. She also has built websites through WordPress and Shopify, writes custom HTML and CSS and works with Bootstrap to create responsive websites.  Clarissa has worked with Canon and Nikon DSLR’s and has worked with product photography and color corrections.

Clarissa is eager to learn and always ready to take on new challenges. She has a positive attitude and works well with anybody from every department. Clarissa hopes to find a company that supports employees in their professional life as well as their personal.


Design landing pages in WordPress and Shopify platforms using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, PHP and jQuery. Create social media content such as graphics and copy for company pages. Photograph and photo edit products for e-commerce store. Take photos of company events for online sharing purposes. Build out internal web projects using front-end and back-end languages. Manage email campaigns in Constant Contact.

Worked with the in-house creative services team to create digital and print assets for public and internal projects. Utilized industry software such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop to design banner stands, advertisements, booth graphics and other sales collateral. Created designs for company culture and charity events including t-shirts, posters, and gift swag. Assisted with the occasional app design and Wordpress updates.

Graphic designer 

Designed assets for the @plasticsurgery Instagram channel, including Ask A Doctor Anything, Surgeon of the Month, Top Surgeons and Giveaway posts. Created visual assets for PlasticSurgery.io and NUEVIBE.com and their social media accounts. Designed new medical practice clients’ websites in WordPress and updated existing sites with new content. Created trade show materials such as 10x10’s, flyers, custom cut outs and social media assets. Used Adobe Creative Suite, CSS and HTML to execute daily assignments.

Visual Designer

Work in Adobe Creative Suite to create graphic designs and digital illustrations for local small businesses & non-profits. Work in traditional mediums to create customized gifts. Write HTML/CSS to design web sites in Dreamweaver and WordPress. Help clients set up social networking presence. Able to translate client’s vision into a digital design.

Graphic Designer

Custom designed home & landing pages in Adobe Illustrator for self storage and other small business clients. Collaborated with back-end developers to ensure designs were functional and responsive. Created logos, web banners and custom graphics for the marketing department. Worked closely with the Creative Director to ensure projects were completed in their designated timeframe.

Web Graphic Designer

Assist the executive director to develop marketing strategies for foundation events and productions. Work with social media, e-mail and web sites to promote foundation’s mission. Create digital designs for foundation events ranging from logos, flyers, signs, large format banners, T-shirts, booklets, and tickets. Work with print shops, screen printers and other vendors to insure proper execution of projects.

Worked with multiple departments to complete assigned duties and entered payment information from member contributions. Managed Underwriter billing accounts and solved airing discrepancies with the Traffic department and the Underwriter Manager. Reconciled department credit card transactions, confirmed Matching Gift donations and generated gift reports for the UA Foundation. Worked directly under the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Accountant.
