Each day presents a new challenge in this fast-paced environment. This job requires creativity, quick problem solving, and the ability to prioritize projects based on how complex the various requests from customers may be. All while providing great customer service with a smile on my face.

This small business came with big responsibility. Goal setting, accountability, and focus were crucial to hit deadlines on time. I managed the client contact on several hundred accounts from the initial request through the final deliverable. This included being a lead on the American Institute of Architects magazine. A typical day involved visiting business to find new clients, collecting signatures on proofs, and submitting orders.

As a design lead, I took pride in making decisions. I was responsible for ordering more product, forecasting business needs, assigning task to coworkers. The creative outlet was limitless. Customers trusted me to produce a product that was perfect for their occasion.

Having personality is key in the serving industry. Utilizing my speech skills and learning to read people through body language and reactions to better attend to each customers needs. Timing for delivery of drinks, meals, and any other requests is of the up-most importance.

Growing up on a farm this opportunity was a perfect fit as I understood the clientele and how to talk to them through design. I worked under the guidance of the Director of Design & Technology to create marketing materials for trade shows.
