Charles Reed Cagle

Over the past 30 years, Mr. Reed Cagle and his wife, Donna, have been happily married. From 1999 to 2017, the couple and their son lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, before moving back to Plano, Texas, in 2018. Charles Reed Cagle has been working in the energy sector for 35 years in various capacities.

In 1986, Reed Cagle joined Kinlaw Oil Corporation as an associate. On his return to the United States the following year to assist start an independent energy company in Dallas, Texas. When Heartland Energy, Inc. (HEI) was created back in 1997, Mr. Cagle became its President and CEO. Drilling and servicing businesses, geophysicists and other experts in the energy industry were all brought in to help him with the project. When Charles Reed Cagle decided to get into the drilling service business in 2006, he invested in the development and construction of his own 20,000-foot-drilling rig with a 2000 horsepower motor.
