Red Barn Refresh - a Circular Economy Initiative

I developed the technical order of operations for Trek’s circular economy initiative in direct collaboration with the Global Retail Programs Manager. Specifically, I extracted technical aspects of the program concept to design & author the operational procedure.

The SOP leads bicycle retailers through a lubricated customer facing intake of used Trek bikes & cycles them to Trek’s place of origin for refurbishment. Once refurbished, these bikes are certified with Trek’s warranty & ready to be peddled as affordable pre-owned options via TrekBikes.com!

Trek Financing - a Citizens Pay Partnership

In a high-pressure situation, I was activated on a months-long project to introduce a financing tool to over 250 U.S. Trek-owned retail locations. I developed the retailer utilization process & created a technical SOP within just 10 days. Despite challenges & limited information, I quickly learned the nuances of an external platform from both a retailer & customer standpoint. This enabled a successful launch of a 17 store pilot group by my 15th day on the project.
Within a month of piloting the financing partnership, we launched the program to all U.S. Trek-owned retail stores.

I Manage communication from HQ to N.A. Retail Frontline, including communication of updates & projects among cross-functional HQ teams.
Q1 2024, I developed a tool to streamline the intake process for all SOP requests, as well as cross-trained three new teammates from an adjacent department.

Retail Communications Manager

I develop internal processes and systems of operations, author comprehensive technical documents in highvolume by distilling complex information and collecting experiential insights that inform procedural design. I
am a consultant to global colleagues to scale best practices for retail success at Trek in Europe and Australia.

• Internal Bulletin Author and Editor: I organize collaboration among 12 cross-functional managers to curate and deliver two separate weekly newsletters across eight countries (2k+ contacts) via
Iterable.com.

• Microsoft SharePoint Site Owner: I maintain an internal resource site housing 13k+ technical
documents & lead an orientation for all new leaders. Site Traffic Avg. 20,000 visits per week at ~10min.

• Technical Writer: I spearhead a group of 30+ internal stakeholders to review, revise, and publish
resource documents, often adapted to the global company. I author and edit standard operational
procedures for internal and external programs through a system I developed for all cross-functional
teams to contribute respective expertise for retail implementation. YOY efficiency increases by 60%+.

N.A. Retail Operations Specialist - Communications and Compliance

On a team of eight, I worked to effectively demo + renovate newly acquired locations, splitting efforts between front & back of house remodeling over 3-5 days.
• Led technical training clinics over the course of 2-3 weeks immersed in stores to initiate on-boarding for new teams to Trek Retail.

New Store Operations Specialist

I trained & led a team of 7 Sales Associates through retail interactions to provide unique experiences. This helped grow sales over prior year by 20% in 2018 and 16% in 2019.


• Q1 2018 - I established a Social Media presence for our store location to extend our outreach and customer engagement: Instagram 1400 & Facebook 2.2k.
• Q2 2018 - I initiated a reoccurring women's specific group ride to create a safe, non-competitive environment expanding a community of female-identifying cyclists. 20-26 rides per year with 12-22 cyclists each.
• Q2 2019 - I organized an in-store event with our Trek race team to conclude the Amgen Tour of California. The event drew ~200 attendees, followed by an exclusive 20-mile bike ride with Trek Team Racers for a select amount of our loyal guests.

Sales Manager; Social Media Content Creator

I worked directly with the Store Manager and HR to recruit and hire new team members by owning the on
boarding process. I led a team of 50+ through seasonal focuses by adapting to broader responsibilities and facilitated growth of other team members.

• I coached standard operating procedure; audited operations and service work orders; maintained
customer relations, defused miscommunication; managed inventory; reported profit-and-loss daily to the Regional  Director; merchandised new product, and organized warehouse efficiencies for flow.

• I trained 5 of 6 other Store Managers through a unique, new RPOS system in direct correlation to season  passes and the sale of lift tickets to our local VRR mountains.

• I coordinated and attended training clinics throughout the Bay Area to maintain current knowledge of technology and components of outdoor equipment evolution.

• From June of '15 to my exit, I created and evolved Social Media content for our company on Facebook.
I managed a remote team of 6 collaborators to ensure the voice of the company was shared among our
diverse team members throughout Northern California to echo our core values. We connected Outdoor
Industry enthusiasts to their passions, as well as news/ events in-store and on-mountain (Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood in the Tahoe, California Region).

Assistant Store Manager Social Media Content Creator

Prepared curriculum and instructed art classes for up to 30 adolescents daily at the City's Westpark Community Center. 
Art activities ranged from ceramics, detailed craft construction, macramé, painting, and music to numerous group projects and guided tours of the local art museum.

Solely responsible for opening the City's largest and main recreational sport facility at 5am.

• Prepared & maintained all equipment whilst simultaneously answering multi-line phones, checking-in clients, facilitating appropriate class/ machine regimens, registering clients for classes, establishing new
accounts, and sustaining a recurrent facility count for safety records.

• Provided immediate first aid on 4 occasions to tend to injuries incurred by patrons.

Facilities Manager

Graduated Basic Military Training as Airman First Class, advancing to my first technical training school for Enlisted Aircrew Undergraduate Courses. This training involved aircraft construction knowledge, maintenance, flight simulation, overcoming mechanical issues in-flight, and basic crew responsibilities.
