I'll let you in on a little secret: All copy is not created equal. So much of the messaging out there these days is mass-produced, copied-and-pasted, and so riddled with sales attempts that there's no personality left. These are all tell-tale signs of a brand struggling to get noticed because it's not sure who it really is, or what it wants to say. And that's where I come in. As a certified brand whisperer, I've been working with businesses of all sizes for over a decade and have finely tuned a process for defining a brand, crafting a brand language, and infusing that language into every nook and cranny of the business - even down to the way your employees answer the phone.

In these mutually full time positions I managed seven retail managers who covered sixteen retail boutiques across my markets of San Diego, Washington DC and Boston. I was responsible for $1.4 million in retail sales in 2013. I achieved this goal by identifying promotional opportunities, reporting on fast and slow turning product, writing replenishment orders and highlighting retail product on social media sites. In addition, I facilitated retail boutique openings in all markets, and wrote copy for numerous marketing materials including POS flyers, personal guest emails, and social media content.

I provided website feedback and insight by writing in-depth audits and analyses which highlighted areas of marketing opportunity for luxury hotels and resorts.

I managed website development from inception through development to completion by working with teams of talented web developers, graphic designers, meticulous clients in the luxury hospitality industry. I wrote marketing content for a variety of functions, including email campaigns (which I managed launching & monitoring), homepage and general website copy, and interactive promotions.

I managed online marketing & website development needs for an expansive portfolio of clients, who ranged from small start-ups to multi-million dollar enterprises. I also provided creative direction and copywriting services as needed, and was solely responsible for writing all creative briefs for the company.

As copywriter for Doner, I worked with art directors to create and execute advertising concepts for print, web, and guerilla campaigns. Clients included Sherwin Williams, Cleveland Visitors Bureau and Dupont. During my time at Doner, I also worked on the Stainmaster Bedding account to create a campaign which won a highly coveted Addy Award.
