In my own words
— BrianAs a Project Engineer and Estimator for design build projects I spent my first year in Project Management developing kick off meeting presentations, producing AutoCAD design drawings and running successful projects.
From Project Management I moved to the Estimating Department where I worked directly with the customer to walk the job, interpret the plans, develop the mechanical design and produce a quote for the work. With skills in both Project Management and Estimating I began to bid, design, draw and run my own jobs from initial concept to final completion. I have gained useful skills and experience in this fast pace environment, however, I would love to direct my engineering design knowledge towards a more creative position.

Analyze buildings for heat load and occupant requirements. Design duct/piping layout/ size efficient air conditioning units and systems. Finalize/ draft designs using AutoCAD. Estimate job cost using plans and specifications given by customer. Provide a cost breakdown of the estimate to properly relay information to team members.
Xcel Mechanical Systems, Inc. specializes in commercial HVAC custom design and build solutions. The engineering team has designed creative cost effective HVAC solutions for leading Aerospace & Defense, Campus, Government Buildings, Hospitals, and LEED Architects throughout the state of California since 1998.
Xcel engineers use the latest HVAC technology, Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, and years of commercial design experience. Project Managers and Procurement generate competitive pricing for the initial installation but also the long term maintenance and utilization of the complete HVAC system.

Haiti Outreach Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate · Haiti Outreach
Syracuse University administrators, professors, and 7 select student’s install wireless Internet systems at the University of Haiti. Information technology, electrical and mechanical engineers worked together to deploy 60 wireless routers throughout 3 different colleges within the University of Haiti.

Discharged patients out of the hospital. Received phone calls for discharge and escorted patients via wheel chair or foot to the parking garage or carpool lane.
