DESIGNS

Solid, easy going and easy to work with, positive and ready to get things done. Many years working in the skateboard industry for NHS and Blood Wizard, as well the BMX industry at SE Bikes. Experienced in so many facets of graphic design, from print and web layout to production ready files, adapting existing artwork for new applications, creating new designs for hard and softgoods, collaborating with different departments, working with on site and outside factories and vendors, collaborating with licensing partners, teaming up with R&amp;D to create new products and processes, art work separations, etc.

Collaborate with clients big and small on branding, logos, apparel, painted signs, print and web marketing material and custom construction projects.

Freelance Designer

Collaborate directly with owners to create skateboards and apparel. Review original artwork from outside artists and prepare and adapt for printing on skateboards and apparel. Set up mock ups and product images for web and print. Layout sell sheets and social media posts for arriving product. Design print ready ads for Thrasher and Lowcard skateboard magazines.

Graphic Design

Worked directly with Brand Director to create graphics for BMX bicycles and accessories and apparel, while staying within strict brand guidelines.
Developed packaging for bikes and accessories.
Coordinated with international factories and reviewed/revised product samples for accuracy and quality. Set up graphics and posts for social media, emailers, web banners and videos.
Cleaned up and adjusted factory supplied product photos and saved them into multiple sizes and formats for assorted uses on the brand website, social media, high resolution applications and B2B sites.

Graphic Desinger

Lead Designer for Bronson Speed Co, MOB Grip, Ricta Wheels and Slime Balls Wheels. Contributed graphics to Santa Cruz Skateboards, Creature Skateboards, OJ Wheels, Road Rider and NorCal.

This was an everything design related kind of job, but here goes! 

In house Art Department, team of 11-13 designers working closely with each other constantly.
Closely worked with Brand/Art Directors, Sales, Apparel, R&D, Production and Marketing departments to design everything skateboard related; skateboards, wheels, accessories, clothing, packaging, POP displays, window wraps, web banners, social media posts and graphics for video.
Developed branding with small team for Bronson Speed Co. from its inception as it quickly became one of the top skateboard bearing brands. 
Laid out many print catalogs and brochures, from 3 to 110 pages with over 300 SKUS and action photos. Endured press checks for the catalogs and printed material at the printer and made adjustments/decisions on the fly as necessary. 
Developed packaging from scratch in cardboard, wood, metal, plastic, and worked with the factory to ensure proper fit and usability.
Photographed products, created product mock ups and cleaned up provided photos for use in web/print applications.
Laid out close to 100 print ads that were printed in the top skateboard magazine, Thrasher, as well as other popular skateboard magazines. 
Collaborated with licensing partners to create custom grip tape, such as Metallica, SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Wars and others
Adapted graphics and print ads for use in over 100 different sizes of large format window wraps each season and worked with the Production team on the printing and distribution of the materials.
Worked closely with both US and International factories to ensure product samples were accurate and made revisions as necessary.
Assisted in set up, operation and tear down at many special events, skateboard contests and art shows.
Adhered to a strict file naming and storing protocol.
