Passionate Senior Designer / Creative Lead / Merchandise Planner with years of experience designing, developing, managing and merchandising outerwear, outdoor lifestyle and fashion apparel. Creating, selecting and guiding the design process and the product lifecycle: research, product data, concept presentations, color palette direction, print design /development, flat sketches, technical illustrations, fit /pattern guides, style pitch /grading, product function, performance features, market strategy, brand integrity, prototype /sample making, costing, fabric, materials, merchandising, innovation and trends. - Create & execute premium outerwear/outdoor mountain lifestyle products.
- Design & direct multiple outerwear categories/lifestyle collections (45+styles).
- Flat sketches, technical drawings, print creation & seasonal presentations.
- Ensure completion of factory development and confirm design schedules.
- Research, design and create seasonal inspiration / direction presentations .
- Source and select innovative materials and fabrications for all price levels.
- Create various visual color, prints and seasonal palettes for Men, Women & Junior.
- Conceptualize & develop designs, within target margins, and required FOB’s.
- Style/fit patterning for all products keeping performance needs within a category.
- Color merch presentations to complete the color story of each product selection.
- Global interaction with factories, fabric mills, suppliers and international designers.
- Excellent project management, analytical, communication, & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply research based solutions in all channels, ensure brand consistency.
- Formulate concepts and direction from consumer feedback.
