Menswear Designer

Creative & Design

• Provide design and development expertise for seasonal Menswear collections reporting to
CEO.
• Working with clients to design custom looks.
• Learning Suiting principles and garment construction.
• Assisted in the creation and styling of seasonal look books.

• Maintain organization by style of all submissions, including lab dips, strike-offs, and
trims.
• Lab Dip Review Prep
o Pulling submission folders for each style
o Reviewing submission in comparison to colour Pantone or swatch standard and
offering comments prior to review with Design & Product Development o Providing the design team with feedback and/or solutions.
§ Swatch and document approved/rejected LD’s.
§ Upload design & PD comments to Centric8. o Strike Off Review Prep
§ Comparing artwork details to CAD colour, scale, and execution parameters.
§ Providing design team with feedback and/or solutions. o Trim Review Prep
§ Pulling submission folders for each style.
§ Reviewing submission in comparison to trim standard and offering
comments prior to review with Design & Product Development on colour,
finish, and design.
o Technical Sketching & Design Detail Pages
§ Technical sketching as directed by design team. Product focus on Outerwear and Sweaters.
§ Developing custom brushes in illustrator for sweater knit stitches.
§ Developing design detail pages that outline technical and construction
components of each garment, inclusive of fit on croquis and initial proto
sample BOM.
o Aid in the communication and review of items for out-of-office employees
through photographs and emails.
o Shipping, receiving, and organization of samples

Womenswear Product Developer

• Sorting color samples for current seasons.
• Silk-screening garments.
• Cutting and organizing trims.
o Reviewing current season trims in comparison to trim standard and offering comments prior to review with Design & Product Development on color, finish, and design.
• Social media content creation
• Preparation of garments to ensure pieces are retail-ready, for shipments.
• Working with design team to assist on in-development pieces and contribute through
designing additional knitwear pieces.
